Fresno California, The season is halfway over and the Twisters brought home a record of 6-2 after beating the Central Valley Coyotes. I was hoping the team would carry a little payback with them into this non-conference game. They did just that and Kyle Rowley completed 24 of 34 passes for 296 yds and 6 TD's with one on the ground for a total of 7 TD's for the reigning af2 Offensive player of the Year. Rod Harper is on his way to making af2 history with his record setting season with 8 games to go. Harper had 12 catches for 172yds and 5 TD's and Robert Kilow had 5 catches for 45 yds and 1 TD. It was nice to see Robert Johnson back in action along with Chad Cook. Chad had 10 carries for 40 yds and 2 TD's.Our kickoff returns were decent with Kilow taking 5 for 96 yds and LeJuan Edwards taking 2 for 55 yds..
Defensively the Twisters were awesome, 4 sacks for 27 total yards lost. One interception and holding the Coyotes to only 17 first downs with a total of only 198 yrds. of offense. Great job guys!
We have a BYE week next before taking on Corpus Christi (1-6) in Corpus Christi and returning home finally on 6/6 to take on the Oklahoma City Yard Dawgz. The Dawgz have lost 3 in a row and will have the Sharks before they come here to play the Twisters. I'm looking forward to that game as for some reason or another the af2 fans from across the country love to hate the Dawgz. I hope the Defense gets pumped up for this one and keeps Robert Kent on the bench where he belongs.
Looking forward to blogging more, now that I have extra time on my hands. PEACE!
